A Foodies Heaven
Head Chef Ade impresses the crowds at this year’s Foodies Festival at Syon Park
Our Head Chef, Ade Adeshina once again showcased his culinary skills at this year’s Foodies Festival in Syon Park. Ade demonstrated his signature turbot and razor clam dish to large crowds who flocked to the annual food event. Ade joined a line-up of other top chefs including Michelin starred chefs Atul Kocchar and Alyn Williams, celebrity chef Aldo Zilli and MasterChef winner Tony Rodd in the Aga Rangemaster Chefs Theatre.
Ade shared his views on the importance of the freshest and most seasonal ingredients in all of his menus and the reflection this has on the quality of the dishes he produces at The Petersham Restaurant. He also gave the audience an interesting insight into the world of cooking in a professional kitchen – sharing a few tips and tricks along the way.Other attractions at the food and drink extravaganza included a street food avenue; a cake and bake theatre; a vintage tea tent; wine, Champagne and beer tasting; artisan market; live music stage; and the famed chilli eating competition!
The annual food festival took place on the Bank Holiday weekend from 28th – 30th May 2016 at Brentford’s Syon Park. The Foodies Festival is the largest of its kind in the UK and is a huge draw for foodies from across London and beyond. The festival celebrated its 10th year this year and with over 200 exhibitors present, has established itself as the food event of the year for years to come. We look forward to attending again next year!
