Jean-Didier Gouges wows at the Foodies Festival, Syon Park

Taking centre stage for the first time in the Chef’s Theatre at the Foodies Festival, Syon Park on Saturday 26th May 2018, our Head Chef Jean-Didier Gouges wowed his audience with his preparation of his scallop and crab starter and his two way lamb main.

Jean-Didier joined an impressive line-up of top chefs including Masterchef winner 2017 Saliha Mahmood-Ahmed, Katy Beskow of Little Miss Meat Free and The Great British Bake Off 2017 finalist Steven Carter Bailey.

Speaking with Masterchef winner 2010 Dhruv Baker, Jean-Didier shared his recipes and processes of creating both dishes, along with some top culinary tricks of the trade. Both the lamb and the scallops are currently available in The Petersham Restaurant and can be found on our A la Carte menu.

It proved to be a fantastic day, with the sun beating down and plenty of delicious food and exciting activities on offer, including a kids cookery theatre, a chili eating competition and live music throughout the day including a headline set from The Hoosiers!
