The potential impact of COVID-19 on our couples’ weddings is something we at The Petersham care deeply about. Our commitment to couples and their guests remains as strong as ever and we would like to reassure you that we have modified operations to minimise the risk to our guests and team.

We have consulted with experts and followed current government advice, to ensure you can feel confident in your visit.

For any couple that would like to plan their wedding, the current situation has thrown up a lot of questions and concerns about how it will be affected. That is why our expert team are on hand to make sure all of your questions are answered and that the day of your dreams still goes ahead. To help you navigate these troubling times and provide more certainty around your wedding, we have adapted our packages and created a list of frequently asked questions to make sure our wedding offering is more flexible and transparent than ever before.

We would like to visit. Can we still make an appointment?

If we are in a National Lockdown we will be unable to show you round, however we are just at the end of a phone so would be delighted to answer any questions. When we move back into tier restrictions appointments can be made with social distancing and masks applicable.


If the Covid 19 pandemic continues and we need to postpone, can we do so free of charge?

Yes, should the government impose restrictions that prevents your wedding from going ahead you can move date without any charges or changes to your package.


Will all my payments be moved across to my new date?

Yes, absolutely, all payments will be moved to your new date.


Will our food or drinks menu change?

We do not foresee any changes to our food and drink menus however, should any issues with supply occur we will notify you immediately.


Will the bedroom allocation or price remain constant with our date move?

Yes, any bedrooms booked directly with the hotel as part of the main wedding block, will be moved to the new date as per the original booking rates and number of rooms. (subject to availability). However, any bookings made with a third party will be subject to their terms and conditions.


We have booked our bedrooms via (or other online third parties) and our rate is non-refundable. Can we get a refund?

These bookings will be subject to the terms and conditions of the third-party website that they were booked with. Please contact them directly.


What steps are you taking to protect us and our guests from COVID 19?

The Petersham is pleased to have been confirmed as ‘Good To Go’ by Visit England, recognizing that we have followed government and industry COVID-19 guidelines and ensured processes are in place to maintain cleanliness and aid social/physical distancing.
