Walk in Richmond Park

With the leaves turning golden brown and the promise of colder days ahead, wrap up warm this autumn and enjoy a leafy walk around the largest Royal Park in London, Richmond Park. Located a stone’s throw away from The Petersham Hotel, Richmond Park covers an impressive area of 2,500 acres, and home to woodland gardens, over 600 free roaming Red and Fallow deer and on a clear day you can enjoy uninterrupted views of St Paul’s Cathedral, located just 12 miles away.

Bicycle Hire and Horse Riding are also available in the park.

Hampton Court Palace and Gardens

Experience the public dramas and private lives of Henry VIII, his wives and children in the world of the Tudor court with a visit to the spectacular baroque palace built for William III and Mary II. If you prefer to stay outdoors, explore Hampton Court Palace’s 60 acres of magnificent gardens.

The much-anticipated ice rink will be open from November 19th.

Local shops in Richmond

Richmond is full of excellent local boutiques, florists and independent grocers. Visit the Duck Pond Artisan Market each weekend and get ahead with your Christmas shopping. There is always an abundance of sustainable and ethical goods including fashion, crafts, beautiful gifts and delicious treats!

London Wetland Centre

A short drive from Richmond, London Wetland Centre is an urban oasis for wildlife in nearby Barnes. A safe haven of open spaces, enjoy the fresh air as you stroll along the walkways among the lakes, ponds and gardens. Children will love the play areas and resident otters!
